Listec offers two Windows Prompter
Programs—the new A-6000WIN Version 3 and higher and the
original
A-6000WIN/202.
The A-6000WIN maintains all of the
command features of the original but because it is structured to
work with files saved as Rich Text, it provides the ability to
instantly edit the active prompter copy from any location
without returning to the word processor. Just stop the prompter,
make the change and immediately restart!
With the latest version of the A-6000WIN Program, you can prompt
Rich Text files directly, or use the Program's resident,
full-featured word processors; the choice is yours. Model
A-6000WIN is compatible with all current Windows platforms.
The original A-6000WIN/202 employs any Windows word processor as
the prompter editor and permits formatted documents to be
printed directly from the word processor to the prompter. Simply
prepare the text using the editing features of your word
processor and print the file to the prompter; nothing could be
easier. Model A-6000WIN/202 is compatible with Windows 95 and
98.

Make Rapid fire changes and prompt instantly
with the technologically advanced A-6000WIN from Listec. Instant
Edit Version 3 of the A-6000WIN Prompter Program is the
definition of simplicity. Open the A-6000WIN, compose a new
file, or select one saved as Rich Text in your favorite Windows
word processor–then toggle
Prompt! to commence scrolling from any location and
InstantEdit to make changes. The A-6000WIN even
includes two distinct Editors; one for on-the-spot modifications
to the prompter copy and the other for creating or editing
upcoming stories.
There is nothing arbitrary about the A-6000WIN. The user has complete control, from customizing the screen layout to running in dual-monitor mode from selected laptops and properly configured desktop computers. With just a mouse click, the Editor, Menus and/or Toolbars can be set to open on Monitor #1, while the prompter remains active on Computer Monitor #2.
Version 3 provides features that make prompting easier than ever! Perfect for call-in shows, two separate versions of the A-6000WIN can be run simultaneously, affording quick script changeovers with a simple command. And, the live message line makes it possible to scroll bulletins and studio instructions in real time across the bottom of the prompter to keep talent in control.
The prompter text is smoothly scrolled by locking the mouse cursor on the Graphics Slider.
Speed may also be remotely controlled by an optional hand-held pressure sensitive mouse, or our Desktop Rotary Control
Box.

Simple to use. You will be prompting the moment
your script is ready because the “learning curve” of the
A6000WIN/202 is
fast and intuitive. Your favorite Windows word processor becomes the prompter
editor program; all formatting, spelling, grammar, punctuation and even
transition to other languages is managed by the word processor. No matter how
long the script, its formatting will be maintained on the prompter as it was
saved in the word processor.
Unlike other prompting programs, there are no
special combination keystrokes needed to make things happen. The transition
from the word processor to prompting is just a simple “print command”...
the A-6000WIN/202 takes care of the rest, including prompting of two-column
scripts.
The A-6000WIN/202 is a true Windows program,
not a DOS program running in a shell. All resident commands are just a simple
mouse click away. The prompt operation normally takes place as a window “over”
the word processor; a mouse click switches back and forth between the two. An
added bonus with Windows 98 is Dual Monitor Support from a desktop or
qualified laptop computer. This means that with two VGA monitors, the script
document and prompter may both be kept open full-screen, providing for quick
edits and more, simply by moving the mouse between the two.
When operating in dual-monitor mode, all
A6000WIN/202 command features may be displayed on either of the computer
monitors. For example: The location of the prompter Dialog Boxes, Toolbars,
Status Bar and/or Speed Slider may be switched between monitors to suit the
operator’s needs.
The prompter text is smoothly scrolled by a Graphics Slider that can be remotely controlled; click the mouse to lock onto the speed button. Any serial mouse or trackball device can be employed. A hand-held mouse controller is available. The infinitely variable speed can also be managed from the keyboard, continuously or
incrementally.
